Here are the top 5 rarest pickaxes in Fortnite that players were able to purchase from the Item Shop using V-Bucks.
With the hundreds and thousands of cosmetic items Fortnite has produced, players are always looking for the rarest ones to equip. Wearing a rare skin or using a prized pickaxe gives players a status of superiority.
Some cosmetics, like the Renegade Raider skin, are the most sought after, but they likely won’t ever be available again. Others are rare simply because they haven’t been in the Item Shop in years.
This list will go over the Top 5 rarest pickaxes in Fortnite that players were able to purchase in the Item Shop. This excludes any Battle Pass or event-exclusive rewards.
5. Empire Axe – 1,089 Days
The Empire Axe was introduced in Chapter 1 Season 3. And it made frequent appearances in the Item Shop after its release. However, the last time it was for sale was on February 28th, 2019- 1,089 days ago.
4. Armature – 1,090 Days
Armature was released in Chapter 1 Season 7 and was only featured in the Item Shop once after its initial release. It was last seen on February 27th, 2019- 1,090 days ago.
3. Tooth Pick – 1,118 Days
Tooth Pick was featured in the first-ever season of Fortnite, and had been in the Item Shop a number of times after. Alas, its last appearance was January 30th, 2019 – 1,118 days ago.
2. Turbine – 1,167 Days
Turbine, introduced in Chapter 1 Season 6, has only been in the Item Shop for three days since its release. It’s last time on sale was on December 12th, 2018.
1. Drumbeat – 1,267 Days
The current rarest pickaxe has not been in the Item Shop since its original release during Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 5. With an Item Shop lifespan of two days, the Drumbeat pickaxe was last seen on September 3rd, 2018- 1,267 days ago.
These dates are subject to change as Epic Games can choose to feature any of these pickaxes in the Item Shop. However, due to their lack of popularity, these might stay the rarest pickaxes in Fortnite for some time.

Fortnite is planning another crossover, this time with the Uncharted video game series.
Crossover content has been some of the most exciting parts of Fortnite. Players have seen it all from smaller crossovers like Master Chief or Kratos, to full-blow season-long crossovers like the Marvel Season.
It seems that there’s no limit to who or what Fortnite will collab with. Other video games, movies, streamers, and even musicians. However, the Uncharted crossover is a Fortnite first.
That’s because, for the price of one crossover, players are getting a collaboration with both the Uncharted video game and movie. Nathan Drake and the gang will be here sooner than you think.
Fortnite x Uncharted skins and cosmetics
As a part of the Uncharted x Fortnite crossover, players can purchase two skins from the series: Nathan Drake and Chloe Frazer. However, each skin comes with both a video game and a movie variant.
This means players can play as Nathan and Chloe the way they look in the video games. As well, you can play the Tom Holland and Sophia Taylor Ali versions of the characters.
In addition to skins, players can purchase two pickaxes, a glider, and an emote.
Fortnite x Uncharted release date
The Fortnite x Uncharted crossover will start on February 17th at 7 PM EST. This is a day before the Uncharted movie releases in theaters.
Uncharted maps in Fortnite
Beyond purchasable cosmetics, players can also find the new Drake’s Map item scattered around the island. These maps will lead players to piles of loot that’s enough to supply a whole squad.
However, you won’t be the only one searching for treasure, so it might be best to steer clear of the loot.

Marshmello is one of the highest praised crossover skins in Fortnite, and now the DJ is getting two new skins.
The original Marshmello skin was released in February of 2019, and it immediately became a fan favorite. However, players would have to wait 100 days before its return and then another two years after that.
Luckily, since its inevitable return in 2021, Marshmello has been in the item shop every few months. Now he’s planning to return with two new skins for players to add to their collection.
Introducing Marsha and MARSHINOBI
The two new skins are Marsha, a female skin variant, and MARSHINOBI, a ninja-esque Marshmello with cell shading.
Fortnite announced that these skins will introduce the Melloverse: a universe comprised of different Marshmello characters.
The Marsha set includes her own back bling and pickaxes, and MARSHINOBI has a Back Bling, Pickaxe, and emote.
These items, along with the original Marshmello set, will be back in the item shop on February 1 at 7 PM EST.
In addition to these skins, players can head to vote.marshmellomusic.com to vote for which unreleased Marshmello song they want to bring to Fortnite as a Lobby Track.
Additionally, Marshmello will be playing Fortnite on the official Amazon Music channel on Twitch showcasing the new skins before their release. He will go live at 3 PM EST on February 1.
