Love Island’s Coco and Summer’s feud explained as they go from friends to enemies

Love Island may be over with Davide Saclimenti and Ekin-Su Culculoglu being crowned winners of this year’s series, but that doesn’t mean that the Islanders have put their summer of drama and romance behind them.

In fact, while recently filming the Love Island reunion show, which is set to air this Sunday (August 7), Casa Amor bombshells Coco Lodge and Summer Botwe allegedly engaged in a heated row as the cameras rolled.

Speaking to The Sun, a source claimed: “The evening was going really well until Coco and Summer started to have it out. Summer was accusing Coco of a number of things, using very offensive language.

Coco Lodge was dumped from the villa alongside Josh Le Grove

“Everyone was completely shocked, it really wasn’t nice to see – and producers were forced to step in and sort it all out.”

Despite reportedly having it out with one another, 27 year old Coco and Summer, 22, appeared to be friends after leaving the villa and until recently were often spotted looking happy while on nights out together.

However, fans claim that the recent tension between Coco and Summer may have come after Coco made some comments about Josh Le Grove despite him being romantically linked to Summer.

Summer and Coco have unfollowed each other on Instagram

During an appearance on the Saving Grace Podcast, graphic designer Coco was asked if she’d slept with 22 year old Josh while in a holding villa together.

“No and I’m actually annoyed because I feel like I could have now,” she said in response.

“Talking to him now after I’m like, I feel like it could have happened. He was like ‘Oh I’m horny’ and I was like ‘Right I’m going to take myself to bed.’”

“But I don’t know why I did that because sorry, he’s so fit. We are really close now and we spend like every day all day together. I even said ‘just let me try it once’,” she added.

Following the remarks, the Casa Amor contestants unfollowed each other on Instagram.

And according to one Love Island fan who was a guest at the reunion episode, it’s this drama that led to the alleged row in question.

Taking to Twitter, the fan claimed: “Just been at the #LoveIsland reunion episode filming, very heated exchange between coco and summer production had to step in and close it down [emoji]”.

The Love Island cast came together for the reunion episode

“Summer made a comment about friends not being real friends on the outside, and coco was trying to defend herself by saying “It was all banter”, kept going back and forth over the boys (josh & billy) for a fair few minutes, production obvs had no idea of context from podcast ep”.

They added: “Coco left after that exchange and we had to cheer her to come back in … luca ran over to Jay, Charlie and antigonis table to get the gossip as the reaction on the sofa was a bit mad [emoji]”.
