Buried treasure has started to appear in Fortnite, and players can find them through the use of Drake’s Treasure Map.
Fortnite’s crossover with the Uncharted series is one that reaches outside of just a few skins. Epic Games has added some gameplay elements to engage Fortnite’s players.
While you can dress up at both the video game and movie versions of Nathan Drake, you don’t need cosmetics to hunt for treasure.
Right now, players can find Drake’s Treasure Map in Fortnite. This map will lead players to buried treasure where they can stock up on Legendary weapons and tons of healing items.
Where to find Drake’s Treasure Map
Drake’s Treasure map can be found in chests and on the floor. They are in the game now and players can find them until the end of Chapter 3 Season 1.
The Season is set to end on March 22, 2022, so players have a little over a month to find treasure. Burried Treasure is a great way for your entire squad to kit themselves out in Legendary gear.
How to use Drake’s Treasure Map
Drake’s Treasure Map is incredibly similar to Vault Keys or the Treasure Maps from Chapter 1 Season 8. When a player has one in their hands, a dotted line will appear leading them to an ‘X’.
All a player needs to do is hit the ‘X’ with their pickaxe to dig up the Treasure Chest. Open the chest as normal and reap the richest inside.
It might seem like a hassle to hunt down treasure, but it is worth it. Even in trios and squads, the buried treasure will greatly reward players for their efforts.
Sadly, when the buried treasure is opened, Drake’s Treasure Map will disappear. This means you can only find one treasure chest per map.

Fortnite is celebrating Valentine’s Day by hosting The Stoneheart Trials which allow players to unlock free cosmetic rewards.
Epic Games has made a habit of celebrating real-world holidays inside of Fortnite. These celebrations are usually accompanied by challenges and themed rewards.
Larger holidays like Christmas and Halloween are celebrated in grand fashion with map changes and interesting quests. And other holidays are celebrated with minor quest events that grant free items.
That’s the case for Valentine’s Day, as players won’t notice any changes in the game. However, players still have the opportunity to earn a few free romantic cosmetics.
Fortnite Stoneheart Trials and rewards
The Stoneheart Trials are another set of challenges players won’t find in-game. Instead, you have to sign up for them online. You can opt into the challenges via stonehearttrials.fortnite.com.
Players will earn a single badge for signing up and will have to earn 10 more to unlock the rest of the rewards. Players earn badges every time they place top 10 in any battle royale game mode.
Fortnite will automatically start to track the player’s placements once you sign up. You can check the status of your badges by visiting the Stoneheart Trials webpage.
In total, players will need to place in the Top 10 twenty times to earn all three rewards. The trials will last until February 20th.
There is also a fourth cosmetic, the Grim Devotion Emoticon, that players earn by voting for a map at the bottom of the Stoneheart Trials webpage. Players also have to play on one of the Creative maps shown.

Earn free Fortnite Creative Mayhem cosmetics

To earn the Love Reigns Emoticon, all you have to do is sign up for the event at creativemayhem.fortnite.com. You don’t have to submit a time. Just visit the event page and log in to your Epic Games account.
