Buckingham Group has started early ground testing work on a planned major sports and leisure complex in West Drayton, London.
The new centre will be located at the junction of Harmondsworth Road and Rowlheys Place.
Works are underway with tree surveys and bore holes taking place before, demolition of the old buildings due in mid-April, and ground works scheduled to begin this summer.
The leisure centre will house a 25m swimming pool, training pool, splash-zone, gym and health suite, soft play, climbing wall, youth zone, a café and terrace, and even a rooftop 3G turf football pitch.
Yiewslet & West Drayton leisure centre has been designed by architect Hunters, with Buro Happold providing structural engineering and QODA Consulting mechanical and electrical services design.
