Aldi launches £3.29 candles inspired by luxe scents like Bronze Goddess and Olympéa

We do love ourselves a beauty bargain, and one of the biggest things that supermarket Aldi is known for is its affordable products that are inspired by some of the more luxury skin, hair and makeup buys on the market.

Whether that’s affordable scents that smell similar to designer perfumes or budget skincare “dupes”, shoppers flock to the stores time and time again to get their hands on these limited edition beauty buys.

The latest bargain range due to hit the high street store’s shelves is a collection of scented candles and diffusers inspired by luxury scents, all of which will cost less than £4. On sale from 28 July in store and online, the new Hotel Collection candles and diffusers come in three scents inspired by big brands.

Aldi’s Hotel Collection candles in Ocean Wave and Beach Glow

The three scent options are Ocean Wave, which the retailer has likened to Estée Lauder’s Bronze Goddess, Beach Glow, which has been compared to Paco Robane’s Olympéa, and lastly Summer Days, which is billed as having similar notes to Molton Brown’s Milk Musk – all of which will cost £3.29 each. Sounds dreamy to us.

But that’s not all, as on the same day Aldi is launching three more candles as part of its Beach Bright range, all priced at £2.99, along with diffusers for £3.49. Housed in brightly coloured packaging, there’s a scent for everyone – whether you prefer the fruity berry and tangerine notes of Love, citrusy scent of Happy, or the fresh eucalyptus, mint and cedarwood of Kind. These are all sure to brighten up any home for just a few quid.

This new launch comes just a week after Aldi’s hotly-anticipated Olaplex-inspired collection went on sale for pre-orders – a three-step bonding system for hair comprising shampoo, conditioner and a pre-wash treatment, with all products priced under a fiver.

Each Lacura Bonded product costs just £3.49 and is available while stocks last, with the range also launching in physical stores on Thursday 28 July – and, considering that TikTok is obsessed with Olaplex itself and finding cheaper alternative options, we predict it’s going to be an instant hit.

Looks like it’s high time we visited Aldi for a bit of a beauty haul!
